Meet the Team
Dr. Aaron Palmer
Dr. Aaron Palmer is an alumnus of Mansfield University of Pennsylvania where he earned his B.S. in Biology and of the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate in Dentistry. Dr. Palmer resides in Ellsworth, Maine with his wife Ericka and his two children, A.J. and Garden. The Palmer family also has a 1 year old Yorkshire Terrier named Kiba (pronounced “Key-Buh”).
Dr. Palmer has been nominated by the International Association of Dentists as “Top Dentist” for 2011 in Ellsworth Maine. He’s also shared his expertise on cosmetic and minimally invasive dentistry on Designer Health Today’s talk show (
click here for the full audio). Dr. Palmer began treating patients with Invisalign in 2009 and has since achieved the prestigious “Preferred Provider” status for 2012. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and an Associate Fellow in the World Clinical Laser Institute.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Palmer loves to spend time with his family! He also enjoys playing drums, guitar and painting in the style of the old masters. Dr. Palmer’s favorite hobby is playing video games with his family. The Palmer family loves games like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog!
Eliza Murphy, R.D.H.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Eliza (she goes by “Liza”) received her Dental Hygiene degree from The University of Maine at Bangor in 2004. Liza takes great pride in her work and has exceptional skills in periodontal therapy and preventive dentistry. She is continually seeking new ways to educate patients, maximize clinical results and improve the patient experience. Liza lives in Hancock with her husband Adam and their two Boxers, Storm and Sydney.
On her off-time Liza enjoys running, spending time with her dogs and is continually wrestling with the urge to eat delicious, rich, fatty foods. For this reason, please do not eat anything sinful around her, or she might wrestle you!
Ericka Palmer
Office Manager
Ericka is the office manager extraordinaire and takes care of many of the “behind the scenes” things that make Smile Design run smoothly. You’ll be lucky to see her however, as most of the time she’s busy with her full time job as Supermom! If you do see Ericka, smile! She’s friendly, caring and has a terrific sense of humor!
In her spare time Ericka loves to spend time with her family, watch Korean dramas and play with Kiba the Yorkie!
Rachael Hallett
Rachael is a 1999 graduate of Penobscot Valley High School. After high school she moved to Virginia Beach for four years where she went to Tidewater tech and got her certificate in Dental Assisting in 2000. In 2003 she moved back to Maine and since then has had two children, received a certificate as an anesthesia assistant and bought a house in Bucksport.
Rachael enjoys watching her kids play sports, spending time with her family and going on adventures with her friends!
